AUTUMN 2016 The Parish Council has welcomed a new member, Mrs Laura Morgan who was co-opted to the council at September's meeting. The Clerk, Christine Freeland, has now left her role and will be replaced by Miss Emma Morgan. The Parish Council are currently searching for local business' to sponsor the parish flower tubs - if you are interested please get in touch!
SUMMER 2016 New play equipment has been ordered for Crosby Villa play area, it should be installed w/c 16 May. Thanks must be given to the following for their kind donations to the scheme; Duncan Hill, Iggesund Paperboard, Dobies Charitable Trust, Councillor Carni McCarron Holmes.
DECEMBER 2015 The Council have submitted an application to the National Lottery Awards For All to hopefully gain funding to improve the play park at Crosby Villa. Fingers crossed that we are successful !!
SUMMER 2015 The Council are currently installing new safety mats under the play equipment at both Crosby and Crosby Villa Play Areas. Funding is being sought to install new equipment at Crosby Villa which will cater for a wider age range.
Crosby Villa Allotments - Flooding - contact has been made with Cumbria County Council in an attempt to resolve this ongoing problem, work to resolve the drainage problem in 2013 has not been successful.
A new seat has been ordered to replace that at western end of Crosby Village and a seat is to be placed near the bus stop along the B5300 in memory of one of our parishioners (purchased by his wife).
Councillor Eddie Martin is to represent the Parish Council at Community Centre meetings and is also to represent us on the Iggesund Community Liaison Group.
